There are so many career choices are available to us these days. One must get confused which career to pursue and which they should not. Well if you ask me, I’d definitely go with a career in Interior Designing. Reasons you can read below, but what i have learnt and earned in my journey of this insanely  amazing career, is an identity of being an unique and a creative person.

I know it is very obvious that one must be creative if they are into creative businesses. But, I’d like to agree to disagree. Why? Because, I was neither a creative person nor an unique. But, Pursuing this career developed me in one. It helped me recognize my purpose and my calling in life. Interior Designing became my answer to all the questions I had in my life or in my mind per say. Let it be good or bad.

Many of the common or uncommon reasons that i discovered along the way which might ignite the fire of fulfilling your purpose goes down below. Try to follow through and stay focused on them.

1. Interior Designers Are Not Less Than Any Magician.

Interior designers need to be creative AND have a technical skill set. Our education, qualifications, and licenses, combined with the knowledge of life safety and budgets lead to designing an inspiring space. We just don’t know how to design something but we know how to pour life into that design. More than pulling a rabbit out of a hat. Isn’t it?

2. We Earn Trust, Relationships, Peers and Some Money With It Too.

Interior designers impact the lives of people in a given environment, whether meeting their needs in corporate spaces, restaurants, courthouses, fitness centers, or libraries. Interior spaces can make a difference in how life is experienced. And, to check all these boxes, we must know our client thoroughly. Only after that can we design a mindful design.

3. Acquire A Degree Worth More Than A PhD.

Interior designers are constantly learning, improving their knowledge base and recreating themselves and their designs. Our profession requires continuing education and a mind for research. And, we get to use it even in every day to day life. Basically we put our knowledge to test everyday.

4. Talent wins games, but teamwork and intelligence win championships.

Interior designers work hand-in-hand with architects and engineers on a daily basis in full service firms. We have to know enough about other disciplines to do our job successfully, whether its lighting, plumbing, or other key design elements. We just don’t deal in team, but we technically build team–teamwork is key!

5. Vision Is The Art Of Seeing, What is Invisible To Others.

Interior designers lead a client to their goals and vision. You have to glean from them what they “see” and turn it into a creative, built environment.

The only thing worse than being blind is having sight but no vision. —Helen Keller

6. The Truth Of The Story Lies In The Details.

Interior designers pay attention to detail and know how to combine details to create beautiful and interesting results!

The Details are not details, they make the Design. — Charles Eames.

7. Update Yourself Regularly. It’s must & required For Sustain.

Along with our industry partners, we are on the cutting edge of sustainable design whether its furniture or floor coverings. To be in business we have to keep ourselves updated.

8. Every Problem Has A Solution. You Just Have To Be Creative Enough To FInd It.

Interior design is about solving problems and putting the pieces together in a functional end result. Your client has the “kit of parts.” It’s up to us to make it into a real design solution that is everything they envisioned. We possess collaboration skills that make the magic happen.

9. Get Up From Your Chair. Stretch. Take A Walk. Get On A Plane And Never Return.

Interior designers can be on the job site in a hard hat, sitting at meeting with clients, and then working in a library full of architectural samples–if you don’t like a desk job, this profession is for you.

10. If You Love Something, It Will Work. That’s The only Real Rule.

Last but certainly not least, being an Interior Designer is FUN!
